Believe it our not, most new car dealerships don't actually have a transmission rebuilder on staff. Most of the time, they run a few tests and if it doesn't pass then they sell you a complete re-manufactured transmission when in fact, it may have been a simple component malfunction to blame. As for the other major chains, many of them are required by their franchise agreements to charge top dollar in order to cover their fees. |

A transmission overhaul is where the unit is completely disassembled with all the worn and broken parts being replaced. In addition, all of the normal wearable parts (such as seals and clutches) are replaced and we install all industry upgrades that are available.
